Hi, my name is Mat and if you’re reading this then I’m guessing you need to lose some weight. Well, that’s exactly what I built this site to help you to do. I don't offer any medical or specific nutritional information or advice here. That's more than adequately catered for by the many fantastic diet sites online. I'm just offering some positive, realistic and healthy ideas that I use to lose weight and keep my weight well under control.
I want to present a healthy way to lose weight. Not only healthy for the body, but healthy for the mind too. The mind is a powerful tool. We should use it, sharpen it and challenge it.

I don’t pretend to have all the answers and certainly can’t promise that you’ll turn into a champion sprinter over night overnight. I can tell you what I did to lose weight and how I keep it off !
First, a bit of a reality check about me. I’m not a finely tuned athlete and I’m not going to pretend that I am. I could easily Photoshop my head onto a picture of Jean Claude Van Damme, but I’m not going to because you wouldn’t get the point. I’m a fairly chunky guy, but I’m happy with how I look. I have never been thin and will never be thin. It is true that some people seem to be able to eat what they like and stay thin. Tough luck. I’m not one of them and since you’re reading this, neither are you. We have to stop wasting our time wishing we could magically become one of those people. We can’t, so forget about it. We can only change our own lives and this is why I’m here. To help you make some changes that will make you happy and comfortable for the long term.
The fact is that most people DON’T go to the gym 5 times a week and they never will, so unless you can commit to that for the rest of your lives forget about it. Most people just want to be happy with their body and, despite what we’re force fed through the media, that doesn’t necessarily mean looking like we’re carved out of stone. If that IS your goal, that’s fantastic! If you can keep up the training and diet, then I wish you the very very best of luck and wish I had the time, money and dedication to my body as you do.
For the rest of us, we have to get real. We have lives, jobs, kids. We have to drive about, go shopping, be a taxi service. We get tired, fed up, bored. We’re normal busy adults, so we have to apply some weight loss ideas that normal busy adults can use.
The first piece of good news is that you’ve already taken the first step by recognising that you have a slight problem in the waistline area. The Second piece of good news is that you already have all the tools you need to get yourself into shape that you can be happy with. The final piece of good news is that you won’t need any scales or a gym membership. Yes, you read it correctly, but in case you missed the point:
YOU DON’T NEED TO GET WEIGHED OR GO TO THE GYM TO LOSE WEIGHT QUICKLY !!
You WILL need determination, patience and a willingness to change your lifestyle to some degree. If you have those 3 things then you can achieve the same results as me, but remember, I can’t do it for you. I can only encourage you to do it for yourself.
